End the Elian madness now!

Selling all that stuff is totally wrong. You know half of the stuff is not even real. Let the kid go. He's back with his father and that's the way it should be. Y can't da media just SHUT UP!!!! __________________ Freaking first amendment. __________________ I like how all these Cuban protesters come out and show their "disapproval" with our American justice system, yet the voter turnout in this country has just been dropping election after election. This is not an attack on just Cubans, or any immigrant group (my parents are immigs). I understand civil disobedience has its purpose when there is just no way to change the system. When a government gets overthrown in another country it's usually cuz people can't get food or water. Here people burn cars in the street because they don't agree with what the justice system had to rule. Hmm, I believe one of the complaints about Cuba is a lack of a fair court system. The pen is mightier than the sword. These same people protesting Eleian's return would probably hesitate to report a neighbor for child abuse because it doesn't affect them. The Supreme Court has always preferred the rights of the biological parents over what may appear to better for a child. This is why abused children are sometimes return to dangerous households. Elian is simply another example of this. His life in Cuba (can't say for sure as I have never been to Cuba) would probably be better if he returned now than most of the children around the world. Why don't Americans care that diarrhea kills about 1-5 million children around the world every year? The money spent on legal battling and flying people around for this case could have saved innumerable lives around the world. Do you guys know how much that military transport cost to bring his dad over here. It could have funded a rape clinical or homeless shelter for one month. Sometimes I wonder about this country... If he wants to come back to the US he or his folks can fill out the proper papers and wait like everyone else. The media is starved for interesting news. Someone, quick, go start a war. That wouldn't be much of a war for sure. And the freakin' news media wouldn't report on it anyways. I really despise the news media. They make news up and sensationalize it instead of reporting it. That's bullcrap. Yes colossus I also found it infuriating that some Cubans chose to attack America. The country that has taken them in, given them freedom and fought against Castro's Cuba for 4 decades. These jabronis are going to have to realize their in America now, so their not just Cubans anymore. America has bent over backward helping them out. Now they need to show a little gratitude and simmer down. I can partly understand their anger over this matter. However they need to stop thinking totally of themselves and realize they can't get their way every single time. As for Castro that damned dictator needs to be stuffed and mounted in a 2 bit museum as a freakshow artifact. He has driven that country into the ground during his terrible reign and caused massive misery. Hopefully he'll croak soon. I don't count on it though. Finally the cost of treating diarrhea is quite cheap. America and other countries do help out organizations that fight this and other illnesses. If they didn't the number of deaths by diarrhea would be much larger. The problem is in many of these 3rd world countries the wrong people get the supplies and try to make money off it.
