Future Employment Problems in America??

What will the people employed in the internet economy do after everyone realizes that the internet is not profitable? Companies will stop pumping money into the system because of the tremendous losses required for no profit whatsoever. Webdesigners, warehouse workers, customer service reps, etc., may all be out of jobs in 5 years if the current trends continue. Only a few internet companies are making significant profits, while numerous others appear as promising IPOs and soon bomb like a bad chick-flick on a large budget. If something does not happen to reverse this trend, these internet workers may be looking for employment, but will discover that, because they did not attend college but rather skipped out to make the big bucks right away, they will not be able to find a reasonably well-paying job because the economy is based on the high-technology industry. My reasons for this is, real web programmers will have other technical skills and can adapt to the newer languages(xml, uml, hdml) and will continue to work. Were as someone who knows html and javascript is pretty screwed considering that there are programs that will write this for you these people should have never had a job in the field. Computers will not disappear EVER, and so long as nothing completely replace them, someone will need to write the programs, configure, and set them up. As for factory workers they can work at any factory, granted the job market will be a little crowded but this is norm. We are all living in a .com fantasy world where people are making money they shouldn't, and everyone can find a job.
