Why come the gas-powered ones dont go into reverse? __________________ Why come??? __________________ Quote:
*sigh* I wasn't going to say anything, but since someone else did... __________________ Quote:
That's what im asking. __________________ i'm not into radio controlled cars but my guess would be that since its gas powered the motor can only spin in one directions, so without gears there is no way of making the wheels spin the other way. In electric moters you can make the moter spin in the other direction just by reversing the polarity of the electricity.__________________ Which car are you talking about? I know of plenty of vehicles that go in reverse.. Look at the Traxxas T-maxx. It has two forward and two reverse gears. That is one bad-ass machine.__________________ Quote:
Is this gas-powered? __________________ ya, it is a gas model, go over to http://www.traxxas.comThey even have mpeg clips of it running. My friend has one. damn, they are very, very fast. Very agile, and very powerful. __________________ Quote:
Thanx, pretty sweet truck, wish they had a car/buggy version. __________________ You just gotta slap a different body on it... they have about 30 available that fit that particular chassis__________________ Umm Kyosho originally came out with that QVC(Quick Reverse Clutch) And what it does it just throughs an extra gear in the gearbox to reverse the direction. And it's the same reason that most snowmobiles don't have reverse it's not cost or weight effective. They just came out with some new stuff on snowmobiles that can reverse the direction of the crank shaft when Rpm's are low. Kinda like preigntion only timed perfectly to reverse the crank shaft. SO you could go just as fast in reverse as in forward.I've turned into renots. Mavi forum |
