Why are you not in the irc room?

Remeber folks, come on in to the irc chat place for got|apex? Its at irc.dal.net channel: #got|apex? So come on in. __________________ When i login, I never see the room. I'm new to IRC, so I may be doing something wrong, but I'm pretty sure I put in all the right info. Any ideas? Any ideas? Blu You're probably not on the right IRC server. or if you are, just type: /join #got|apex? and that should get you there. And why the heck is there no #got|apex? on Undernet? You can kick people out of a channel, and/or ban them, you can silence them, you can make the channel work in a variety of ways (moderated, invite only, etc). You can do all kinds of stuff. [Edited by Y2J on 12-07-2000 at 11:06 PM] __________________ grr, that sucked how does this work? __________________ i'm guessin some of ya will need help on gettin started with it...so..here it goes(this is for http://www.mirc.com): 1. install and run it 2. when u first run it, it should show, an about dialog, close that, then a options box will pop-up 3. on the left, there are all the different options to play around with. First you would want to set connect: - click on add - choose a description..whatever u want it to be. - then put in the server irc.dal.net - then click on add 4. now enter the required fields: full name(doesn't have to be ur real name ), e-mail addy, Nickname, alternative(in case u get timed out, or somebody else is using ur nick) 5. on the left, click on options, click on connect on startup and reconnect on disconnection, leave the other two unchecked. 6. on the left, click on identd, and click on "enable ident server" and choose a user ID. 7. click on the plus sign beside "IRC" and go to "perform", check off "On connect perform these commands". -underneath that, in the box type /join #got|apex? (what that does is when u connect to the server, you will auto join the channel.) 8.You may want to turn off sounds, so click on sounds and untick "Enable sounds" 7.go back to connect, click on the big button that says "Connect to IRC server". -once connected we can answer any questions u have about it in the channel. if u still have problems do any of this. contact me by icq 34967008 __________________ That is such a complete walk-through, "Dummies for mIRC" from K2. __________________ hehe....yep i hope it works.. i had to install another copy just to make that walk through gonna post this as a new topic [Edited by K2 on 12-07-2000 at 11:11 PM] __________________ No one talks?, I don't idle on DAL, trivia is a blast though, the worst part is it is server botless, I idle in Efnet servers (WHich has Got|Apex, by a`our own Meepen), how the hell can I be on Dal at the same time...
