36

Sorry guys,

My subject was incomplete the first time posted...

http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=205-1036C

Have any of you heard of these before? I am really thinking about getting one, for gaming and all... plus I have a TV tuner so I could watch TV on it as well.

*Some fine print

-It is a class c condition monitor: they'll have the diff. conditions listed in detail on their site.

-They will not be able to ship it via UPS. Shipping could be REAL expensive.

-highest resolution is 800x600... hmm... lots of pixelated images maybe...

Let me know what you guys think... Thanks.

Jesus,

The subject is: 36" monitor for around $280? I have no idea why it keeps cutting it down to 36...

Perhaps the quotation mark is screwing it up, try using inch instead

this is a presentation monitor...don't buy it for home use, its for conferences and other things.

It's a piece of Gateway's "Destination PC" system they introduced about 4 years ago. It was kind of a hybrid between a computer and a TV. It had a wireless mouse/keyboard and this was the display. It's probably more useful as a big screen TV than a computer monitor. Would probably work great for the new game systems (Dreamcast, PSX2, Game Cube, XBox) that can connect to an SVGA monitor.

shipping weight is 225 lbs!!! wow.. if you are going to buy something like this, dont buy it on the net. shipping is prob half, if not more, of the price you're paying for the thing!

well, I live in Irvine, CA and the company is located in Vista, CA, which is about an hour or so away... Because the shipping and handling would be insane, I thought that if I bought it, I would go pick it up down there... and also perhaps be able to inspect it and test it out with my computer before I actually buy it.

I don't see why not... I mean I'd think they'd understand that I would rather be sure that I wanted the monitor instead of having to lug it back to my home, and then back to them b/c I was not satisfied or b/c it was defective. It makes sense to me that they would.
