Component Output: please explain!

Now, I see that the PS2 has these new-fangled component output thingamajigees. Can you use normal RCA cables to hook that badboy up, or are we looking at something else? Like some sort of optical cable or something? Help, Leon!! __________________ You use normal RCAs, but only if your TV has the component inputs. Otherwise you gotta use S-Video. And if your TV doesn't have that, you gotta gotta use the normal single-RCA video. __________________ Thanks for the reply, I actually just found out that Stupid Sony requires a special type of connector/cable for the PS2-component output. I'm also pretty sure I have component outputs... I have a WEGA XBR 400 __________________ Four types of connections ranging from best to worst: 1) Component (video signal separated into three) 2) S-Video (separated into two) 3) Compostite (one signal) 4) RFU (crap) For your PS2/XBR combo, it would be a shame not to use component.
