I wish I had known the proper etiquette for addressing one or others on the board before I posted my Loosah and Obby Post. Its unfortunate that those such as prominx became quite negative about the post without really explaining what the norm is here to me. I would have come back and deleted the post if it created any ill will, which I certainly feel it did not. It was addressed to Ob and Loosah.. __________________ I think its a case of ProMinx and I being grouchy bitches, and often we find it more fun to grouse and sulk instead of actually talk to people. OK, I do, I don't know about him...I just think it's kind of just common sense not to be using bandwidth and disk space for personal messages. There are both ICQ and e-mail button's on any person's post/profile. If they didn't choose to include that in their personal profile, the logical extension is that they choose not to be accessible. Fine, whatever, the GAM has laid the proverbial smackdown on you and your overtly cheerful Pinchay __________________ I feel that the best way for a new member to merge smoothly into a board is to be a lurker for a little while (days, weeks, whatever) and get a feel for the board.when you have written rules, set in stone, then you turn into anandtech or whooever they are. "he broke that rule; she was allowed to post this, but I can't; yada yada yada.." You end up having to make a rule for every freeking thing, which creates an extra load on the Mods. Give'em a break. Think before you speak. (Warning: Fines doubled in work zones) Ps. Don't be afraid to edit your post if people complain about it. Mavi forum |
