TV help

ok guys, our TV died a couple of days ago and i'm in the market for a new one. Right now i have my eye on the Sony KV-32XBR400. I've also heard of the panasonic ct32hx40. The best price i can find right now is $1600 for the sony. The tv is HDTV ready. It supports 1080i and 480p (unfortunately it doesn't support 720p). Does anyone have any helpfull comments or suggestions?? I know Pennypinch got this TV a while ago, Are you happy with it?? IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BUYING IT??
