crutchfield?

i was thinking of buying something from crutchfield.com and was wondering if people have had good or bad experiences with them. i'm planning on buying an in-dash cd player. tell what you think of the player and/or crutchfield. thanks

also if you have any other suggestions for a player, that would be much appreciated. i think the flip down face idea is pretty cool, but not necessary. and i don't want to spend more than 140, if at all possible.

whoa...almost forgot the url.

i ordered new speakers for my jeep this spring and i had good luck with crutchfield. they even send installation guides that are specific to your vehicle and tell you how to rip the dash apart and do any needed mods to make the specific equipment you bought fit.

Crutchfield is about the best mail order business ever. I have had the best experiences with them. They include detailed instructions, and their technical support is great. Once, my friends and I bulk ordered 7 stereo receivers, and they still only charged $7.95 for 2 day shipping to Texas!

Also, their returns are extremely painless. One of my friends had an amp that had a broken cover, and Crutchfield sent a replacement before we had sent back the original. They include return shipping labels with your order, and they allow you to pay for higher price items over 4 months with no interest.

Without a doubt, this is the best mail order business I have dealt with.

I bought a Balupunkt in-dash CD player from them, and it was a great experience. They're especially good if you're installing stuff yourself for the first time. You can probably find stuff for a few dollars cheaper, but I think it's worth it for all the extras you get from Crutchfield - instructions, face plate, wiring harness, etc.

As far as the Sanyo goes - I would recommend going with a better brand, such as Pioneer or Kenwood. There are several available around the $150 price range.

Wow, I didn't know Crutchfield was such a positive experience! I was looking around their site, and didn't think their prices were out of control, but I guess you get what you pay for, huh...
