Listen to this Staples BS Story!!!!!!

Okay ... remember way back when there were MAD staples coupons posted on here? Well, I managed to get a digital camera that was normally $525 down to $99. So I tried to order it. Next thing I know, my CC is charged $399 for it. So I called staples, and they said to refuse the order and you will be credited the money. So I did just that.

When they credited me my money back, they credited me the amount for the original price ... $525. So I was happy about that little screw up of $125 credit on my card.

So today my CC bill comes. Oh, what is this? A charge from staples for $125. I was pissed when I saw this, but it was late and I called my CC company and they were closed by then. What should I do to handle this? They can't just charge me $125 out of the blue, can they? And they didn't even notify me of it through phone or email. What should I do?

It all adds up to $0, right ($399 + $125 - $525)? If so, sounds like a legitimate charge to me...

If you really want to, you can ask them to reverse all three charges. Net result will be the same, you'll just have wasted your time.

Ya they just caught up with you. Not too much you can do about it. They would be in the right if you try to fight it.

Look, either hustle... or go at it legit. But don't try to hustle a deal and then demand that the gods of good-business-practice be on your side when something goes awry.

Take your lumps and move on to another deal, another day. I have little sympathy.
