is bigger better?

I'm talking about the size of this forum you sickos.... I've been following this forum for the last few months, and have seen the forum grow and grow.... I remember reading in another off topic post that bigger means more deals quicker, but from what I've seen, its mean fewer, crappier deals. Hardly any decent deals it seems are posted anymore... unless of course you consider all the free stuff "deals". I remember where you used to see good deals on all kinds of stuff, I would actually get excited about checking Apex out first thing in the morning so that I could go spend some money on something that I didn't really need, but was a good deal That or I'd find that special deal on some piece of hardware I'd been wanting to get, just waiting for the right time... now it seems all you see is free stuff, and requests for free stuff... alot of the posts in the deal forum even say, "this isn't really a deal.." I have no problem with people making the occasional requests, but it would be nice if the people who made requests occasionally contributed to finding some deals, rather then just coming to Apex so that someone else can find them a deal... should there be another forum called free stuff maybe? I think that there is a difference between free crap, and deals... apex used to be mainly a deal page i think, and now its more a freebie site. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy freebies as much as everyone else, but I just don't think that free post-its, are a manilla folder are a great deal, they're a freebie... A free maglite is a great deal though, but I think the difference is obvious to most people Anyway... I kinda got off topic from what I was going to talk about.... Where have all the deals gone? Have they just left this site, or are there just not the great deals anymore? It seems the bigger we have gotten, the fewer the deals have been... I'm pretty crappy at being able to find deals so I don't really know if the deals are really disappearing, or just disappearing from Apex.... The really good ones come around every couple of weeks, and you gotta be SOOOOO fast, or they're gone.
