Has anyone stayed at either of these hotels before at Honolulu? I got a pretty good deals on both of these but concerned about the quality of the hotel. __________________ Outrigger is a quality hotel. I stayed at Outrigger on the Reef I think it was called. Everything about it was excellent. You can't go wrong with Outrigger.__________________ What's the deal you got?__________________ I got a package deal with RT airfare, hotel, and transfer for 6 nights for $1183 for TWO people includinng taxes and stuff. That's about $550 ea. or so. This is flying out of LAX. Good deal?sklim1 __________________ outrigger is definitely a good hotel. im going up there actually this october for my anniversary.we're staying at outrigger waikiki for the first two days and the last 3 days we're staying over at the hilton in turtle bay hoping to see catch some good surf __________________ oh, im paying 1,000.82 for the same duration as you leaving out of san diego but i have a rent a car also. compact though.__________________ We stayed at Waikiki Parkside in March for $84/night. That was probably Miliary rate quote, though. It wasn't too bad, only 2 min. walk to Waikiki beach. Had nice view of Diamondhead, but also has awesome view of the new Hilton going up across the street. We did have to pay $7/Night for parking, though. I have stayed at two different Outriggers. One of them was pretty scummy, and the other one was fabulous. Don't remember which is which anymore without a map. There are probably 7 hotels in the Outrigger chain there in Waikiki. Make sure you're getting the one you think that you are getting. __________________ I'm from Honolulu and I havent heard of the Marine Surf Hotel. But the Outrigger Reef is not bad. You can go to www.outrigger.com and click on the island of Oahu to get more info and even a picture of what the Outrigger Reef looks like.Aloha, BruinHI __________________ Sklim,I stayed at the Outrigger Reef in Honolulu. Got a package deal through TWA vacations and it is a pretty decent hotel. It is not the best on the block, but hell, your in Honolulu so you aren't exactly going to be in the hotel all that much anyway. Do be carful though because not all outriggers are the same. I don't even think they are owned by the same people (i could be wrong). But unless it has changed in the last two years, I think you will find it quite acceptable (if not luxurious). Tim __________________ I just came back from there, the Outrigger Reef is right on the sand. Really nice hotel. The Hilton Hawaiian village is a better hotel if you can afford the extra money.__________________ Hey muffdvr and sklim1 how did you get such good rates? I have been looking for a month for good air and hotel (Kauai, tho) and found nothing comparable to what you found. How did you do it??? TIA__________________ There are several Outrigger hotels in Waikiki. All are nice. The Reef is one of the more popular. (Lived in Hawaii for 9 years, and this was my hotel of choice for those needed getaways.)__________________ Transfering to correct forum. |
