**Need** Motorcycle purchase advice

Good morning all, I am planning to purchase a motorcycle in the near future and I was wondering if any one had any advice on which one I should get. I am planning to get a street/sport bike that is under 9K dollars. I am currently looking at the Buell M2 and the Yamaha R1. Any suggestions? Oh...SHOEI helmet? Which model? Shoei RF-200?
