Mass Addiction

Re: Substance Abuse Services Reform

Lois and I ask that you review material at this website, and reflect upon the fact that the more money we spend on the problem of mass addiction to alcohol and other drugs, the worse the problem becomes. It appears to us that we are fighting a fire, mass addiction to alcohol and other drugs, by throwing gasoline, the recovery group movement, on it. Rational Recovery has an answer!

How to read this website

We made the unexpected discovery that our method, Addictive Voice Recognition Technique (AVRT), not only defeats addictions, but also affects perception of the world we live in. AVRT helps people to recognize subtle meanings in language that support the use of alcohol and drugs by addicted people. It also reveals the recovery group movement and its business arm, the addiction treatment industry, as a cause, and not a solution, for addiction. We invite you to quickly learn AVRT at our online tutorial, The Internet Crash Course on AVRT. It's like putting on 3-D glassses, or acquiring night vision. AVRT can help you see what remains hidden from

America, the collective Addictive Voice that propels us forward into an abyss of mass addiction.

Something Bad is Happening

As it stands, America has the worst problem with substance addiction of any nation in history.

We just recently became the world leader in the percentage of citizens in prisons, about 2 million, and have 4 million citizens on parole or probation. America is also the birthplace of the disease/treatment concept of addiction, the recovery group movement, and the engine of our addiction treatment industry, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).

This combination of elements is radically changing the character of America, replacing traditional values of independence, self-reliance, individual responsibility, and resilience with a pathetic philosophy of victimhood, entitlement, and dependence. Many experts and authors have spoken and written about the transformation of America into a therapeutic state, with prisons made into asylums, and citizenship replaced by guardianship. Others have warned of futuristic societies based on a cult mentality, where freedom is a forgotten word.

There is no way to know where we will end up if we continue on the present course.

Deception

You and your predecessors have accepted many falsehoods as the truth, because respected authorities have led you astray. If you are not aware, practically all of the services called "addiction treatment," are based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous, which is fused to the addiction recovery group movement.

AA was not adopted as our national program of addiction rehabilitation because of any evidence that it is effective, or through any democratic process.

AA has gained power through the evangelical energy of its members, and through its anonymous members in positions of social responsibility.

Our approach to addictions has been decided for us by the media, which injects the disease/treatment concept into the press and broadcast media, and parades celebrities and others who express gratitude toward Alcoholics Anonymous for saving their lives/careers.

Some Historical Notes:

The addiction treatment tragedy was instigated primarily by members of AA who had redeemed their own professional careers through the political cleansing of the 12-step program.

No longer regarded as criminals or degenerates, addicted physicians, attorneys, psychologists, nurses, and social workers, formed an AA syndicate, protecting only their peers who would submit to the 12-step program, blame their misbehavior on addictive disease, and credit AA for their success in life.

Those who would take moral responsibility for their error and for permanent abstinence, or those who would choose other means to resolve the addiction, were barred from professional practice. The result was a buildup within the professions of persons devoted to endless expansion of AA, and the AA syndicate that exists today.

Alcoholics Anonymous was born in the post-prohibition years, when that grand effort, similar to our War on Drugs, nearly destroyed law and order and respect for the legitimate authority of government.

AA was initially dismissed as "the religious solution," unworthy of serious consideration by the professions or by the human service system. It incubated for about thirty years in church basements, and then burst forth during the 1970's when the drug revolution had taken its toll, and many disaffected hippies and flower children had bought into the anti-family, amoral, recovery group movement.

AA members soon formed guilds that gained credibility through self-certification, and the chemical dependency counseling profession was born, AA "traditions" notwithstanding. AA is the drug culture of America, all of them with unresolved addictions, posing nevertheless as the true experts on addiction.

They are irresolute substance abusers in the sense that they display endless uncertainty, one-day-at-a-time, about the possible future use of alcohol and drugs. Nevertheless, they are held up as a standard to live down to, and agressively use the force of law to gain compliance from every substance abuser in the land.

They have gained extraordinary power, but conceal their identities by claiming anonymity.

The Inmates are Running the Asylum

To make matters worse, Alcoholics Anonymous is religious, and has seized control of the substance abuse components of our courts, jails, prisons, the military, and our health and social welfare agencies.

AA operates the substance abuse components of these institutions, using the authority of those institutions to their benefit, in contempt of the U.S. Constitution. As if on steroids, AA has vaulted the wall of separation between church and state by denying its own religious nature.

"AA is not religious," they say, "It's spiritual." But federal judges have rendered a series of rulings that AA is "unequivocally religious," confirming what is obvious to all AA newcomers, or anyone else who has looked objectively into AA's literature or meetings.

A Constitutional crisis is brewing which, if not prevented, will create enormous social disturbance and political fallout.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) is engaged in a campaign to promote the disease concept of addiction, even though that concept is unproved and no advances have been made to reduce the incidence, mortality, or morbidity from that hypothetical condition.
Addiction in America always increases, in spite of occasional inconsequential lulls that are exploited as evidence that public prevention and treatment programs work.

While The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute for Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse (NIAAA) explore the fringes of the scientific frontier looking for evidence that addiction is a disease, billions of tax dollars are squandered on addiction treatment that consists of old-time religion and medical mumbo-jumbo. The results, as measured by abstinence from alcohol and drugs, are nil, so bad that data on abstinent outcome are rarely collected.

A recent study, Project MATCH, exemplifies the problem. Costing over $25 million, this uncontrolled, i.e., scientifically worthless, study found no difference between various forms of "treatment," and practically no abstinence from its participants, yet NIAAA director, Enoch Gordis, M.D., announced that the study proves, "Treatment works!"

But the evidence, as well as the lack of it, is overwhelming, that the 12-step program doesn't work, that there is no disease responsible for drinking and drugging, and that there is no

The Walls of Serotonin

by renots

my experience with serotonin reuptake inhibitors has led me to the conclusion that they are a false messiah, leading one much further from the universal truth than at the point they entered the serotonin reality. I realize now that is is serotonin which is the blinding agent of life, that filter which allows one to live "efficiently" but to the grave detriment of intuition, that true gift of the gods, that gut instinct which drives one past Convention and Stagnation, the twin hags of modernity.

It is serotonin which posited Ubermensch, the Superman, that willful creature of small compassion. My first true experience with MDMA came only after I had abandoned the use of my last SRI, St John's Wort. Years of pent up fear, frustration, guilt, and sadness melted away, leaving only my unified love self in its place.

I realized only then that my first impulse to take an SRI, Prozac, 7 years ago came from that false notion of security that one finds from being a sublimated part of an organization. The problem, of course, is the inherent malevolent manifested hierarchical relationships found in an organization; ultimately someone would be yanking your chain and I wasn't one for wearing collars, of any sort.

Like Louey, my mystical Bodisatva cabbie told me, if you find yourself in a situation where someone is telling you you HAVE to do something or you're out of there, it's time to get the hell out of there. In my case, I think Prozac was telling me I had to sell out or get out.

Let me tell you, the three weeks it took me to get off Prozac must have been the equivalent of getting off Cigarettes, Heroin, and Bacardi 151 after 20 years of non stop smoking, boozing and shooting up. Every impulse was telling me to jump out that window, drive that car off the freeway, swan dive off a rooftop.

I said NO in the end to the Dark Side, though it still hangs around occasionally, telling me its got an offer I can't reuse.
Nah, masochism and self-immolation don't have the same appeal they used to have, such quick, easy solutions they seemed at the time.

Loving oneself is infinitely more rewarding.

NY Court Orders Use Of Ritalin On Child - Parents Medicating Out Of Fear

Some public schools are accusing parents of child abuse when they balk at giving their kids drugs such as Ritalin, and as judges begin to agree, some parents are medicating their children for fear of having them hauled away.

...

Guess what 'anonymous' cult has been busy lately

For heaven's sake, can't we just let kids be kids?

The Drugging Of America's Children

From Jinnestan

9-7-00

I was shocked and horrified to listen to the content of tonight's show.

As I thought of this ADD and other crap being pushed on the American population I was remembering back to almost all pivotal scientist and artists of our world...

Mozart was known to have very unsociably exceptable behavior

Einstein's middle school teacher thought he was retarded

Nicolas Tesla lived the last 20 years of his life as a complete recluse because he abhorred human social behavors i.e. pettiness

Edgar Allen Poe was a social outcast

Lord Byron (thought to be one of the greatest poetic minds the world has ever known) was exiled from his own country for sociably unexceptable behavior

Michelangelo was thought of as a real jerk and very much disliked by most people who knew him

Victor Hugo was such an outspoken critic of the post revolutionary French monarchy, a very socially unexceptable view to have at the time, he was exiled from the country

Salvador Dali once attacked a child from his school because the child claimed music was superior to art

[;0) liked plants that Big Daddy Hated]

...I could go on and on but the point is clear: genius and conformity don't mix. I also thought of Nazi Germany...the first community they rounded up after seizing power was the artists, the intellects, and the free thinkers.

And I think of a modern day prodigy. This man came from a humble background to form a multi-billion dollar company before he was even thirty. After amassing his fortune with his stellar business skills and intellect, he then turned his brilliant business skills and fortune to the subject of ufos and alternative technologies. Yes, I am speaking of Joe Firmage. Any wonder why the Brave New World order doesn't wan't want people like him[&;0)] around?

Gee, and isn't it interseting that all the signs of genius and higher intelligence just happen to correspond with this strange new illness ADD!

Where would we be if Einstein had been put on Prozac, or Mozart, or any of them. This is a scary day for our world..unless of course you're talking about the Brave New World....then all is well in doped-up land....

...

I recommend everyone see THX 1138.

It is a model of what NOT to aim for
